Role of drum rolling in groundnut.

Rolling an empty iron drum over the crop at 50 or 50 and 70 days after sowing bunch type groundnut cv. increased the pod yield by 10.6 and 22.12%, resp., by increasing the spread of branches on the ground which enabled the pegs located on the upper part of branches to enter into the moist soil.
